Beginning life as a humble production painting, this statue takes Star Wars conceptual artist Ralph McQuarrie's work and brings it into the third dimension! It is based on an early concept drawing of Darth Vader fighting Deak Starkiller, a character who would eventually be replaced by Luke Skywalker. As a tribute to the 30th anniversary of Episode IV: A New Hope, McQuarrie's lightsaber duel between Lord Vader with Luke Skywalker has been fully realized in this 3-D vinyl kit. The artisans of Kotobukiya have faithfully reproduced McQuarrie's every detail, from Vader's samurai-inspired mask, to Luke's unseen-in-film breathing apparatus. The two figures can be displayed together or separately. The combined bases measure 16 1/2-inches long and Darth Vader stands 11-inches tall. Limited edition. Minor assembly required.
